Since 1994, Frédéric Rent a Bike has been an authentic family run business in Amsterdam. The most important thing to us is our customers' having a memorable and great experience. We offer the highest quality and genuine service. Providing top quality second-hand and vintage bikes, we don't put logos on our bikes so you can blend in like a local! 

 

The legacy started in 1994, with Frédéric, who was born in Menton, France, started renting out bikes on the Brouwersgracht 78, a four minute walk from central station, in the center of Amsterdam. Every day he provided inside tips and tricks making sure clients were happy and would return to Frédéric. He used abandoned or recycled bikes, from locals. Nowadays his sons Marne and Arthur run the bike rental shop, with the same concept, only now there is a bigger variety of bikes. Offering second-hand, 7-speed and Top-brand touring bikes, without advertisements and no logo! We want our guests to feel and be treated like locals, therefore we don't use logos. We also believe that, especially in Holland, we should recycle the hundreds of thousands of second-hand bikes that are on the market instead of manufacturing new bikes. This approach is less expensive and sustainable and therefore a business that provides income for the family as well as low impact on the environment.
